Provide leadership and daily supervision of the district's maintenance department. Work alongside maintenance personnel in the repair and maintenance of district facilities, grounds, and equipment. Plan, assign, prioritize, and inspect maintenance work to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Perform skilled maintenance work, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, roofing, and general building repairs. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all district buildings and equipment. Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to instructional activities. Oversee maintenance of district grounds, athletic facilities, parking areas, and outdoor equipment. Manage the district's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program in compliance with Texas Department of Agriculture regulations, including maintaining all required documentation. Respond to maintenance emergencies and be available for after-hours callouts when necessary. Obtain quotes, coordinate vendors and contractors, and monitor contracted work. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and parts. Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and special projects. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards and district policies. Assist in developing and managing the department budget.
